Professional overview

Dr. Lawrence Ong is a clinical immunologist and allergy specialist. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. His areas of interest include allergic rhinitis, chronic urticaria and autoimmune diseases such as lupus and Sjogren’s syndrome. He is currently conducting research into the genesis of Autoimmune disease and is a recipient of a National Health and Medical Research Council Scholarship.

Clinical interests

  • Allergic disease (allergy testing, immunotherapy, allergic rhinitis, eczema, asthma, food and drug allergy, insect sting allergy, chronic urticaria, anaphylaxis)
  • Autoimmune disease (lupus, Sjogren’s syndrome, vasculitis, sarcoidosis, uveitis and systemic inflammatory syndromes)
  • Primary immunodeficiency (including evaluation of recurrent infections)
