Management of Risk of Anaphylaxis

Anaphylaxis is a severe, life-threatening allergic reaction that affects a number of different body systems.

Once your child is diagnosed at risk of anaphylaxis, a treatment plan can be devised to ensure that he/she is kept safe. Our allergy nurse can instruct your family on strategies to avoid exposure to the allergen and also develop an action plan in the event that your child develops symptoms related to allergen exposure.

ISHC can also organize education for your child’s school or care facility to ensure that staff have appropriate skills and training in order to manage an accidental exposure to allergen(s).
